Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an automation engineer to improve and support our automated Assembly, Test, and Production systems. You will increase equipment performance, reliability, and throughput by applying advanced automation, PLC programming, and data acquisition expertise.

You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Process Engineering to drive continuous improvement and implement sustainable automation solutions across existing assets and new equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in automating assembly and production lines.
• Strong PLC programming and debugging skills.
• Familiarity with robotics, sensors, HMIs, and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Improve uptime, reliability, and performance of automated equipment.
• Lead PLC/controls development and optimize software and HMI interfaces.
• Own OEE improvement initiatives and analyze downtime trends.
• Lead new equipment automation projects from specification to commissioning.
