Job summary

Jabil in the United States is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for high-quality, cost-effective production. You will lead improvements across equipment, tooling, and process flow to support new product introductions.

You will perform time studies, root cause analysis, and develop control plans while collaborating with design, quality, and production teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role in high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including assembly, testing, and automation.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for fixture and tooling design.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Experience with SPC and other quality tools.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
• Optimize existing manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
• Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing defects and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and control plans.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) activities from prototype to full production, ensuring manufacturability.
• Collaborate with design engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Perform time studies and capacity analysis to identify bottlenecks and optimize production flow.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical support and training to production personnel.
