Job summary

Actalent in Rochester, MN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Level II) to own the manufacturing lifecycle from prototype to full production, drive process improvements, and support NPI and corrective actions across teams.

The role emphasizes structured problem solving, lean Six Sigma, and collaboration with Test Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure robust, scalable manufacturing and compliant documentation. This is a contract, onsite assignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
• 5+ years as a manufacturing engineer in a production setting.
• Experience with NPI, change control, and process documentation.
• Knowledge of lean Six Sigma and DFx concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with DFM/DFT and testing.

Responsibilities

• Owns full manufacturing lifecycle from prototype to production.
• Oversee change orders and ensure accurate manufacturing instructions.
• Report on NPL activities with risks and issues.
• Use statistics to lead quality improvement.
• Drive corrective action plans with internal and external teams.
• Support new product development with manufacturing input.
• Develop work instructions and process documentation.
