Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc in Rochester, MN is seeking a Product Engineer for New Product Launch activities. You will manage manufacturing processes, materials, and tooling to ensure products meet customer expectations and quality standards.

You will lead prototype, pilot, and production efforts, implement design and process changes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and DFX practices across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work with diverse groups and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Leads manufacturing activities of assigned products through prototype, pilot, and production.
• Oversees the implementation of customer documentation changes and internal change orders.
• Participates in new customer development and new business development.
• Analyzes line return information to drive corrective actions on manufacturing process issues.
• Performs product level FMEAs as required.
• Leads continuous improvement activities using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
• Reviews engineering drawings and DFX reports prior to production release.
