Job summary

Legrand is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Farmingdale, NY to design, improve, and maintain manufacturing processes for existing and new products within the Power & Thermal Management Division. You’ll lead process improvement, define operation sequences, and train staff to ensure safe, efficient production.

The role emphasizes lean manufacturing, process documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Metal fabrication experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, improve, maintain, and implement manufacturing processes.
• Plan operation sequences and equipment layouts to boost efficiency.
• Train maintenance and production staff on new processes.
• Maintain process documentation per standards.
• Establish preventive maintenance schedules.
• Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Ensure safety, quality, and cost targets are met.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production engineering issues.
• Provide leadership to manufacturing engineering and production teams.
• Travel minimal as needed.
