Job summary

RTX seeks an Industrial Engineer Section Manager to support factories in the Effectors portfolio, maximizing throughput and reducing costs. You will lead a ~12-person team, mentor staff, ensure safety and policy adherence, and drive continuous improvement across programs and sites.

Responsibilities include Lean transformations, capacity planning, and collaboration with multiple departments to align priorities and investments.

Qualifications

• Active security clearance required on day 1.
• 10+ years of relevant experience, or 8+ years with a master's degree.
• Experience applying Lean, capacity modeling, facility design and process optimization.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of industrial engineers (~12 people) with hiring, staffing, goal setting and performance reviews.
• Oversee project planning to improve manufacturing processes, increase throughput and reduce costs.
• Develop and monitor key metrics, driving cost, quality and schedule improvements.
• Lead Lean transformations and factory modeling using value stream maps and CAD layouts.
