Job summary

RTX’s Industrial Engineering III role, onsite in Colorado Springs, focuses on analyzing, designing and optimizing production systems to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure safe operations. You will apply lean methods, time studies, and data analysis to support continuous improvement across manufacturing. Qualifications include a STEM degree with 5+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.

U.S. citizenship is required; CAD/SAP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Advanced Degree eligible with 3+ years experience.
• U.S. citizenship required to access program/contract.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop and implement processes including equipment, fixtures, routings, programming, tooling, and standard work for production lines.
• Evaluate and adjust manufacturing processes using time studies, workflow analysis, and data modeling.
• Lead complex cross-functional process improvements to increase throughput and reduce waste.
• Design and optimize workstation layouts, material flow, and equipment and labor utilization.
• Lead Lean, CORE and Kaizen initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct capacity analysis, production planning, and labor/equipment studies.
• Lead new product introduction by developing efficient manufacturing processes.
• Develop and implement production models, time standards, and data-driven insights for planning.
• Monitor safety, ergonomics and compliance with manufacturing standards.
• Provide mentorship to junior industrial engineers.
