Job summary

VT Industries, Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Support Engineer II to solve hands-on manufacturing problems, improve daily operations, and drive sustainable solutions.

You will work closely with Production, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, and Engineering to identify root causes and implement practical improvements on the factory floor. The role requires a hands-on mindset, strong teamwork, and the ability to lead problem-solving from identification through execution and follow-up, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or associate degree with 5+ years of technical work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Hands-on and ready to delve into projects to accomplish goals.
• Experience with manufacturing and assembly processes; wood industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor and work with operators, supervisors, and leadership to resolve day-to-day issues.
• Serve as escalation resource for problems needing deeper process analysis and technical problem solving.
• Coordinate efforts to design, develop and validate manufacturing processes and improvements.
• Attend and contribute to regular plant Gemba walks with Leadership Team.
• Improve processes and eliminate waste in key constraint areas; improve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery.
