Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II-IV for a swing shift role in Sacramento, CA.

The role focuses on developing and improving manufacturing processes from drawings and CAD models, and applying producibility concepts and DFx to production tooling and layouts. The candidate will collaborate with IPT and program managers to maintain schedules while implementing improvements across workstation layouts, tooling, and inventory methods.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a technical field; 2–5 years progressive/technical experience.
• U.S. citizenship may be required to obtain/maintain security clearance.
• Experience with lean manufacturing methods preferred.
• Experience with composite manufacturing, lamination, machining, and bonding preferred.
• CATIA v5 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and documents manufacturing processes from customer drawings and CAD models, engineering BOMs, and specifications.
• Implements producibility concepts and DFx for products and processes.
• Designs workstation layouts with ergonomics, visual aids, and zero-defect policies.
• Coordinates tool maintenance, repair, and inspection; ensures inventory effectiveness.
• Coordinate with IPT and Program managers to ensure schedule integrity and fit into manufacturing system.
