Job summary

RTX Corporation in McKinney, TX, seeks an engineer to support EO/IR products in a factory production environment on second shift. You will work with a cross functional team including engineering, factory management, program management, and operations assembly and test.

The work includes troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and implementing producibility improvements while transitioning to second shift. A STEM degree and 2+ years of electrical engineering experience are required, along with the

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience, or 0 years with Master’s degree.
• Experience using standard electrical test equipment (oscilloscope, function generator, power supplies).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting systems failing test, identifying failure cause, and dispositioning hardware for repair.
• Investigation of failure trends for root cause and implementation of corrective actions.
• Troubleshooting circuit card assemblies (CCAs), sub-assemblies and systems of EO/IR products.
• Develop and maintain troubleshooting aids.
• Work on producibility improvements (reductions in cycle time, touch time, and general cost).
• Completion of new hire onboarding training on first shift then transition to second shift.
