Job summary

RTX is seeking an Industrial Engineer II to support the Surveillance portfolio of factories in McKinney, Texas to maximize throughput, improve efficiency, and deliver increasing value to the customer.

You will model factory operations, apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan new products and equipment, driving continuous improvement and efficiency. A STEM degree with 2+ years of experience and the ability to obtain ATF clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior experience.
• Industrial Eng degree or IE MS degree is required.
• Experience applying industrial engineering tools like Lean, Capacity Modeling, Facility Design, or Process Optimization.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an ATF clearance.

Responsibilities

• Model factory operations with process flows, value-stream maps, pareto charts, and CAD drawings.
• Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean principles to improve efficiency and meet cost, quality, and on-time goals.
• Influence factory roadmaps and investments by drafting improvement proposals and planning new products, technologies, and equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address obsolescence and promote growth.
• Support new production proposals and product integration efforts.
• Improve factory safety and work cell ergonomics.
