Job summary

RTX is seeking a 2nd shift Manufacturing Quality Technician to operate test equipment and interpret engineering drawings at our McKinney, TX site. Duties include reading procedures, maintaining inventory, performing quality checks, and reporting abnormalities to ensure conformance with specifications.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or 2-year degree with manufacturing experience, and is a U.S. citizen as required by the program/contract.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or AA/AS degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience in a Manufacturing environment.
U.S. Citizenship is required to access the program/contract.
Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings.
Experience with hand tools, electrical tools, measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

Read, interpret, and follow test procedures, engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, BOMs, and other technical documentation.
Operate test equipment, measurement instruments, hand tools, and electronic diagnostic tools.
Maintain inventory of test materials, equipment, and components at assigned workstations.
Perform quality checks, identify defects or test failures, document results, and report abnormalities.
Conduct functional testing, troubleshooting, rework, and repair of products per engineering specs.
Perform testing and troubleshooting following quality standards and safety procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
