Job summary

RTX is seeking an Engineering Leader for Multi-Spectral Target Systems in McKinney, TX. The role requires U.S. citizenship and a DoD Secret clearance, with on-site work at the factory.

You will lead hardware assembly/testing across programs, coordinate sustaining engineering, and drive improvements in cycle time, cost, and reliability. Applicants should have a STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience in defense or aerospace.
• Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams and programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for assembly and testing of Raytheon-built hardware across programs.
• Coordinate sustaining engineering functions to meet daily needs.
• Lead cross-functional teams to improve cycle time, cost, and reliability.
• Oversee training and onboarding for engineers to build team capability.
• Drive technical decisions and resolve conflicts with escalation as needed.
• Lead root-cause analysis for deliverable hardware issues and corrective actions.
• Support proposals with BOE generation and accurate estimates at completion.
• Maintain cost and schedule objectives through cross-functional collaboration.
