Job summary

Raytheon, located in McKinney, TX, seeks an Engineer to support EO/IR products in a factory setting on second shift. You will work with engineering, factory management, program management, and operations to support MTS system variants.

Position requires a DoD Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship is required. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, improving processes, and contributing to producibility over time, with occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical engineering or related field (or 0 years with Master’s).
• Experience using standard electrical equipment such as an oscilloscope, function generator, power supplies, etc.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting systems failing test, identifying failure cause, and dispositioning hardware for repair.
• Investigation of failure trends for root cause and implementation of corrective actions.
• Troubleshooting circuit card assemblies, sub-assemblies and EO/IR product systems.
• Develop and maintain troubleshooting aids.
• Work on producibility improvements (reductions in cycle time, touch time, and cost).
• Complete new hire onboarding training on first shift then transition to second shift.
