Job summary

Prattwhitney is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Andover, Massachusetts, to join our Microelectronics Factory team. Job description

We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our Microelectronics Factory team on the 2nd Shift, which includes an 8% shift premium.

U.S. citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance (DoD Secret) required.

What You Will Do
  • Translating engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation
  • Programming for manufacturing automation
  • Dispositioning of discrepant hardware
  • Leading corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence
  • Participating in process improvement initiatives
  • Manufacturing process development and maintenance
  • Conducting safety/ergonomic assessments
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • 3+ years of implementing and managing Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools (e.g., Minitab, JPM) to drive yield improvements and reduce defects
  • 3+ years experience in CAD for designing tooling, fixtures and 3D fixturing
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience in a factory or shop floor setting, specifically working with complex hardware such as microelectronics, circuit cards (CCAs), or aerospace systems
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Prefer: Extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, specifically within microelectronics production
  • Prefer: Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) implementation and performing detailed process data analysis
  • Prefer: Experience with the manufacturing processes and transition to production of new products and processes to support volume manufacturing
  • Prefer: Experience supporting and programming Wire and Ribbon bonding equipment
  • Active DoD Clearance (Secret)
