Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking a Manufacturing/Test Engineer to develop and execute plans for integrating and testing propulsion hardware at our Long Beach, CA headquarters. You will work with design and test teams to ensure robust testability and on-time delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering and 4+ years of aerospace hardware experience, with hands-on build support and familiarity with pressure and fluid systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 4+ years in manufacturing, test engineering, or aerospace process development.
• Hands-on experience with hardware builds in development/test environments.
• Familiarity with pressure systems, instrumentation, and fluid assemblies.
• Experience with manufacturing documentation including work instructions and test plans.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, hands-on environments with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed process plans, work instructions, and work orders for integration and test of flight hardware.
• Collaborate with design and test engineers to provide design-for-test feedback.
• Support test technicians and specialists on the floor by troubleshooting and implementing corrective actions.
• Coordinate with quality teams to ensure procurement and inspection of test components and that calibrated equipment is ready.
• Conduct Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) to ensure hardware is test-ready and risks are mitigated.
• Analyze process performance and test timelines to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain capacity and demand plans for upcoming test articles and support equipment.
