Job summary
Lockheed Martin Space in California is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize assembly, equipment installation, and fabrication processes. You will leverage automation, robotics, and CAD tools to drive efficiency and quality while supporting cost reduction goals.
You will work with cross-functional teams, analyze data, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using SPC and Lean Six Sigma principles in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related STEM field
- Knowledge of manufacturing/production principles
- Ability to understand engineering drawings
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies and equipment installation
- Drive adoption of new technologies (automation, robotics, CAD) for efficiency and quality
- Create and analyze 3D model data to optimize processes and digital work instructions
- Leverage materials knowledge to define operations procedures and build sequences
- Evaluate performance of equipment and tools to ensure efficiency and initiate corrective actions
- Use factory data to develop SPC approaches and integrate reporting and analytics for continuous improvement
- Provide input to product design regarding design concepts and manufacturing feasibility
