Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a manufacturing engineer to help develop and implement production processes and layouts for assemblies and equipment installation. The role emphasizes adopting automation, robotics, and computer-aided manufacturing software to boost efficiency and quality.

The candidate will analyze 3D model data to optimize processes and create detailed digital work instructions, leveraging factory data for continuous improvement and contributing to design inputs for manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college.
• Previous manufacturing engineering experience
• This position will be located at a facility that requires special access and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen
• 3 years minumum CCA manufacturing experience in accordance with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 OR 3 years minumum Cable and Harness manufacturing experience in accordance with IPC/WHMA-A-620

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling.
• Drive adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
• Create and analyze 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions.
• Leverage factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrate reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement.
• Provide input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
