Job summary

Raytheon in Andover, MA is seeking an Operations Engineer to support the Circuit Card Assembly Factory on the 3rd shift. You will work with SMT process lines, programmable equipment, and multiple products, driving process improvements and data analysis to reduce defects and cycle times. The role requires a STEM degree and the ability to obtain DoD clearance; a U.S.

citizenship is required. Strong Lean/ Six Sigma experience and CAD skills are preferred, along with familiarity with circuit card

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 0-2 years of prior relevant experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Responsibilities

• Creating and overseeing projects using risk management techniques
• Translating engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation
• Computer and machine programming for manufacturing automation
• Dispositioning of discrepant hardware
• Leading root cause and corrective action investigations to solve problems and prevent recurrence
• Participate in process improvement and cost reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodology
• Manufacturing process development and support
• Conducting safety / ergonomic assessments
• Interaction with senior personnel on technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and / or suppliers.
• Tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics and reductions in cost and/or defect
