Job summary

Sonova in Valencia, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to support manufacturing operations and ensure quality and safety of processes. You will help yield improvements, support validations, SOPs, and cross-functional collaboration with NPI and R&D.

The role emphasizes problem solving, data-driven analysis, and training of production staff. A Bachelor’s in Engineering and at least 1 year of experience are preferred, with onsite work requirements and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and strong analytical ability.
Experience in manufacturing environments and process validation.
Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

Monitor and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and yields.
Execute risk-based/FMEA process validations and prepare technical reports.
Troubleshoot production processes and equipment.
Perform root-cause analysis and support corrective and preventive actions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma approaches.
Develop tooling, fixtures, and process automation.
Complete time studies to help determine production capacity.
Provide DFM feedback to product design teams.
Train production employees on new or updated procedures.
Support internal and external audits.
Evaluate new proposals, including cost-benefit analysis and implementation planning.
