Job summary

Sonova is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to support our manufacturing operations in Valencia, CA onsite. You will help ensure quality and safety of processes while supporting yield improvements, product dispositions, and validations.

You’ll collaborate with Manufacturing, NPI, and R&D teams to drive continuous improvement. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least 1 year of manufacturing engineering experience, with strong analytical skills and effective

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum of 1 year of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Previous medical device experience and regulatory knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and yields.
• Execute risk-based/FMEA process validations and prepare technical reports.
• Troubleshoot production processes and equipment.
• Perform root-cause analysis and support CAPA.
• Support Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop tooling, fixtures, and process automation.
• Complete time studies to determine production capacity.
• Provide DFM feedback to product design teams.
• Train production employees on new or updated procedures.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Evaluate new proposals with cost-benefit analysis and implementation planning.
