Job summary

Sonova Group seeks a Manufacturing Engineer I to support Advanced Bionics’ manufacturing operations. You will help ensure quality and safety of processes, support yield improvements, and assist in process validation and audits.

You will work with Manufacturing, NPI, and R&D teams to drive improvements, implement tooling, and train staff on updated procedures, while aligning with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and product quality in medical devices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and yields.
• Execute risk-based/FMEA process validations and prepare technical reports.
• Troubleshoot production processes and equipment.
• Perform root-cause analysis and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma approaches.
• Develop tooling, fixtures, and process automation.
• Complete time studies to help determine production capacity.
• Provide DFM feedback to product design teams.
• Train production employees on new or updated procedures.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Evaluate new proposals, including cost-benefit analysis and implementation planning.
