Job summary

IMMI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Westfield, IN to optimize manufacturing assets and processes across a high-mix/low-volume operation. You will analyze production data, support equipment setup, and drive Lean improvements to reduce waste and improve quality while ensuring safety and compliance with IATF/ISO standards.

Collaboration with engineering, quality, and operations is essential. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of experience, an engineering associate degree, and hands-on tooling

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, production support, or continuous improvement role.
• Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, continuous improvement methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with production equipment and basic troubleshooting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Willing to travel locally and abroad as needed (typically under 15%).

Responsibilities

• Analyze data from procedures and systems to improve efficiency.
• Monitor equipment performance and line efficiencies.
• Support setup, calibration, and maintenance of production equipment.
• Assist with process improvements and Lean initiatives.
• Document SOPs, work instructions, and process flows.
