Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems Manufacturing seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Colorado Manufacturing team, supporting a stand-alone facility working on Defense Programs. You will oversee production processes from raw materials to finished goods, coordinating with Planning, Quality, Design, and Operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.

You will develop mBOMs, tooling designs, and work instructions, while maintaining ISO9001/AS9100 compliance and ensuring timely change control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or related Engineering with 2 years' experience.
• Experience with CNC Mill and Lathe machining.
• Proficient understanding of GD&T.
• Experience with MRP and ERP/PLM/MES systems.
• Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement procedures to transform raw materials into finished products efficiently.
• Use MES software (Solumina) to monitor and control manufacturing processes.
• Generate and maintain Manufacturing BOMs (mBOMs).
• Create routings in Solumina for accurate run times.
• Identify and execute continuous improvement projects.
• Coordinate production workflow and resources to meet goals.
• Maintain ISO9001/AS9100 processes within the department.
