Job summary

Micron Technology in Idaho is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize semiconductor manufacturing operations through data analysis, problem solving, and continuous improvement. You will drive deviation reduction, improve maintenance strategies, and lead cross-functional teams using structured methods (8D, root-cause).

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related with 2+ years semiconductor experience.
2+ years semiconductor manufacturing experience with TPM knowledge.
Experience applying structured problem-solving in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to apply AI-enabled solutions for process improvements.

Responsibilities

Drive quality excellence by reducing deviations and establishing leading indicators.
Reduce downtime, optimize maintenance, and support recovery plans.
Develop strategies for equipment performance and downtime management.
Use data analysis to identify root causes and improve reporting.
Lead cross-functional teams using structured problem-solving methods (8D, etc.).
Manage site initiatives with project management, meet deadlines and deliver outcomes.
Support training and tech transfer from development to high-volume manufacturing.
