Rolls-Royce plc in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for CMC Machining (Ceramic Matrix Composites). The role focuses on industrialising an existing R&D process for full-scale production, collaborating across Capability Acquisition, Automation, and Digital teams to deliver robust, scalable manufacturing solutions.

Formación

• Engineering degree with required experience (2+ years for Bachelor; 4+ years for Associate; advanced degrees acceptable).
• You must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Experience with machining of Ceramic Matrix Composite components is preferred.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, MVA, FAIR, APQP, PPAP is desirable.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge is highly desirable.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt with completed projects is a plus.
• Experience with Manufacturing Systems (CAD, CAM, CAPP, MES, SAP) is beneficial.
• Ability to apply Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk in process capability analysis.
• Proficiency in using statistics to monitor process performance.

Responsabilidades

• Learn and translate a specialized R&D process for full industrial production.
• Serve as process owner during industrialisation and maintain core quality.
• Collaborate with Capability Acquisition, Automation, and Digital teams on scalable solutions.
• Support process optimisation, documentation, and validation for repeatability and quality.
• Drive throughput, cost, and reliability improvements in manufacturing.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks when scaling processes.
• Integrate automation and digital tools into production.
• Maintain independent problem-solving and project execution.
