Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Chief of Manufacturing Engineering – Castings in Indianapolis, IN, with a hybrid pattern (3 office days weekly). You will lead Engineering for casting across external supply, ensuring designs are manufacturable and meet safety, quality, cost and delivery targets throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires deep expertise in casting processes, strategic manufacturing direction, and the ability to develop leaders while driving engineering excellence across the supplier base.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership in external-supply environments with casting knowledge.
• Strong authority across process design, production readiness, process capability and quality.
• Experience leading Manufacturing Engineering managers and professional communities.
• Strong technical judgement balancing safety, cost, delivery and lead time.

Responsibilities

• Governs casting manufacturing change — specifying Engineering and process requirements and chairing control authorities.
• Ensures product and process integrity — casting methods meet health, safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Assesses manufacturing readiness — supplier capabilities and processes meet product and business needs.
• Leads casting industrial strategy and improvement — integrates tech, digital manufacturing and category priorities.
• Manages Engineering delivery — aligns workload, capacity and budget with priorities and risks.
• Drives technical recovery — resolves complex process or rate constraints to restore performance.
• Builds strategic relationships with suppliers and partners to share knowledge and reduce variation.
• Leads the casting Engineering community and develops leadership and succession.
