Job summary

DeGeest is actively seeking a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in BOM writing and management in Tea, SD. You will design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes and systems to ensure efficient and cost-effective production of products.

You will work with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, troubleshoot production issues, and enhance productivity while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or related field.
• 4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Experience with CAD, CAM, and machine shops.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce production costs, and ensure product quality.
• Design and implement production systems and workflows, including selection of equipment and tools.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed standards.
• Identify and resolve quality issues by implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Evaluate and recommend cost-effective materials, components, and manufacturing methods.
• Identify opportunities for automation and implement technology solutions to streamline processes.
• Lead or participate in projects related to process improvement, capacity expansion, and new product introductions.
• Develop project plans, set milestones, and manage resources effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and implement process changes.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Identify Lean manufacturing improvements and drive continuous improvement.
