Job summary

Manitou Group in Madison, South Dakota, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to plan, direct and coordinate manufacturing processes and projects at the plant; ensure products meet specifications and schedules while optimizing resources.

You will develop and improve methods, establish BOMs and routings, create product instructions, process ECOs, study production times, and collaborate with customers and suppliers to support efficient, cost-effective manufacturing.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or manufacturing required.
• 1–2 years fabrication and welding experience preferred.
• Strong time management and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate manufacturing processes and projects.
• Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods.
• Establish BOMs, routings, machine burdens and new work centers.
• Create instructions for new products to be manufactured.
• Process ECOs and ensure changes are implemented.
• Study time, motion and production rates to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers on design and tooling.
