Job summary

TransPak is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to support production operations in developing, documenting, and improving manufacturing processes for new and existing products.

The role emphasizes BOM setup, process documentation, tooling coordination, and continuous improvement under guidance from senior engineers. Collaboration with Design, Operations, and Quality ensures smooth transitions from design to manufacture, aligned with ISO 9001 and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years in manufacturing, process, or production engineering.
• Familiarity with BOM management, ERP systems, and documentation.
• Ability to read technical drawings and apply lean/process-improvement methods.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) in ERP with accurate product details.
• Support documentation like First Article Inspection and engineering support documents.
• Collaborate with Procurement to ensure component availability and proper materials.
• Verify data and documentation for manufacturing release readiness.
• Develop and maintain standardized manufacturing processes and work instructions.
• Collect and analyze basic production data to identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
• Provide DFM feedback during design handoff to production.
• Participate in Lean, 5S, and Kaizen initiatives to reduce waste.
• Assist with data collection for process metrics (cycle time, yield, efficiency).
• Contribute to small projects improving material flow, layout, or assembly methods.
