Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking an experienced Engineer to lead automation design for new molding and assembly needs. You will quote, specify machine requirements, and collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to meet customer expectations.

You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, validate designs, and coordinate maintenance and validations as required, ensuring safety, quality and cost objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Five years’ experience in injection molding, automation design and build, project management and processes.
• Extensive knowledge of automation design and construction techniques.

Responsibilities

• Create and issue user requirements and automation quotes for new assembly cells.
• Drive deliverables with cross-functional teams to meet customer specs.
• Define automation design approach to meet quality and capacity targets.
• Approve automation designs prior to system build.
• Support operations with project plans, schedules, budgets and tasks.
