Job summary

SNI Companies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for prototype to medium-volume production. You will improve efficiency, product quality, and performance while supporting new product introductions in a cross-functional setting with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production.

The role focuses on hands-on process development on the shop floor, emphasizing continuous improvement and data-driven problem solving.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with Lean, statistical analysis and process improvement.
  • Knowledge of CAD, tooling, automation, and production processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies.
  • Improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and remove bottlenecks using Lean principles.
  • Create work instructions, process docs, and workflows.
  • Design production workstations, tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Support AOI, conformal coating, and other automated processes.
  • Perform Gage R&R, process capability studies, DOE, and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production on new product introductions and improvements.
  • Support capital equipment projects while maintaining safety and quality standards.

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes supporting prototype, low-volume, and medium-volume production. This role focuses on improving efficiency, product quality, and manufacturing performance while supporting new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who is passionate about continuous improvement and thrives in a cross-functional environment spanning Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production

What You Will Do
Process Development & Optimization
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies
  • Improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and eliminate bottlenecks using Lean manufacturing principles
  • Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and manufacturing workflows
  • Design production workstations, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment
  • Support AOI, conformal coating, and other automated manufacturing processes
  • Perform Gage R&R, process capability studies, root cause analysis, and Design of Experiments (DOE)
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production teams to support new product introductions and ongoing manufacturing improvements
  • Support capital equipment projects while maintaining safety and quality standards
Quality & Process Engineering

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and statistical analysis
  • Knowledge of CAD, manufacturing tooling, automation, and production processes
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing engineering experience in electronics, aerospace, or defense manufacturing
  • Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, IPC standards, or electronics manufacturing
