Job summary

MDS Staffing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a plant in the southwest Atlanta metro area. The role reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and will plan and design manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency across equipment layouts, workflows, and workforce utilization.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, SolidWorks, tooling experience, and the ability to manage projects, implement automation, robotics and PLCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
• SolidWorks and 3D modeling experience preferred.
• Tooling experience required.
• Project management experience required to run projects end-to-end.
• Automation experience including robotics and PLCs desired.
• Experience as a manufacturing engineer in a heavy manufacturing environment preferred.
• Foundry/die casting or stamping/plating/finishing experience would be a plus.
• Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design production tooling using 2D/3D software (SolidWorks).
• Implement productivity improvements on current production lines.
• Perform root cause analysis and lean improvements.
• Design and implement production process for new products and changes.
• Create work instructions, spares inventories, and production controls.
• Lead design reviews and cross-functional productivity initiatives.
• Implement automation, robotics, vision systems and machine integration.
