Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a plant site in the southwest Atlanta, GA area.

The role focuses on designing and optimizing manufacturing processes, improving equipment layouts, and increasing efficiency through Lean methods. The successful candidate will have a BA in engineering, hands-on tooling and automation experience, including robotics and PLCs, and will work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 3D modeling software experience (SolidWorks) and MS Office.
• Must have tooling experience.
• Project management experience to run projects end-to-end.
• Automation experience including robotics and PLCs.
• Experience as a manufacturing engineer in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Foundry experience desired; stamping, die casting, plating, finishing experience considered.
• Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design production tooling using 2D/3D software (SolidWorks).
• Implement productivity improvements on current lines.
• Perform root cause analysis using Lean tools; adjust designs/processes.
• Design and implement production processes for new products and changes.
• Conduct FMEA on designs, materials, or processes.
• Review designs for manufacturability and optimized processing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve productivity.
• Lead DOE, lean manufacturing, ROIA initiatives.
• Lead design reviews for new and existing products.
• Create work instructions, SOWs, and inventory plans.
• Implement automation, robotics, vision systems, and controls integration.
