Job summary

OPW, part of Dover, in Ohio, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and improve manufacturing processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives. You will apply Lean principles, coordinate launches for new products, and collaborate with product engineering to optimize tooling and costs.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of engineering experience or a relevant degree with hands-on automation and CNC experience, plus strong problem-solving and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Total equivalent experience in an engineering or technical role of at least 8 years considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Determines and specifies efficient and cost-effective methods for fabrication of parts, finishing and assembly components.
• Uses advanced manufacturing technology including automation, vision systems, and data collection.
• Applies Lean Principles to develop processes and improve safety, quality, cost and delivery.
• Provides guidance to junior engineers and technicians on projects and responsibilities.
• Interfaces with Product Engineering for design and development of new products and cost awareness in tooling.
