Job summary

H. T. PROF Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a plant site in the southwest area of the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area.

The role focuses on planning and designing manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency and throughput, with responsibilities spanning tooling, workflow, and workforce utilization. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, SolidWorks proficiency, tooling and automation experience, and a track record in heavy manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university.
• 3D modeling software proficiency with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office.
• Must have tooling experience.
• Project management experience required to run projects end-to-end.
• Automation experience including robotics and PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Design production tooling using 2D and 3D software (SolidWorks).
• Implement productivity improvements on current production lines.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend design, tolerances, or process changes (Lean tools).
• Design and implement production processes for new/changed products.
• Perform FMEA on new and existing products (designs, materials, processes).
• Review designs for manufacturability and optimized processing.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to optimize productivity.
• Lead DOE, Lean manufacturing, ROIA exercises and design reviews.
• Create work instructions, statements of work, and inventories for parts and tools.
• Implement automation, robotics, vision systems, controls integration, and fixturing.
