Job summary

H. T. PROF Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design production tooling and processes at a plant in the southwest Atlanta metro area.

You will maximize efficiency by analyzing equipment layouts, workflow, and workforce utilization, while supporting manufacturing goals with solid technical problem solving. The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing engineering, SolidWorks proficiency, tooling experience, and automation/PLC knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Proficient with 3D modeling software (SolidWorks) and MS Office.
• Must have tooling experience.
• Some project management experience is required.
• Automation experience including robotics and PLCs is needed.
• Experience as a manufacturing engineer in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Formal industry experience—flexible as to industry.
• Good mechanical aptitude; authorized to work in USA without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design production tooling using 2D/3D software (SolidWorks).
• Implement productivity improvements on current production lines.
• Perform root cause analysis using statistical methods and Lean tools.
• Design and implement production processes for new products and changes.
• Conduct FMEAs on products involving designs, materials, or processes.
• Review designs for manufacturability and optimize processing.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to improve productivity.
• Apply DOE, lean manufacturing, and ROIA techniques.
• Conduct design reviews for new and existing products.
• Create work instructions, statements of work, and inventories.
• Implement automation, robotics, vision systems, controls integration, and related tooling.
