Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a plant site in the southwest area of the Atlanta, GA metro area. You will design and optimize manufacturing processes, improve equipment layouts, and drive productivity with Lean tools and automation.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing engineering, hands-on SolidWorks experience, and PLC/robotics familiarity. This role reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and offers strong benefits and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience is required.
Proficient with 3D modeling software (SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office.
Must have tooling experience and some project management exposure.
Automation experience including robotics and PLCs is needed.
Experience as a manufacturing engineer in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Design production tooling using 2D/3D software such as SolidWorks.
Implement productivity improvements on current production lines.
Perform root cause analysis and apply lean tools to resolve issues.
Design and implement production processes for new products and changes.
Conduct FMEA on designs, materials, or processes.
Review designs for manufacturability and optimized processing.
Participate in cross-functional teams to improve productivity.
Apply design of experiments, lean manufacturing, and ROIA.
Lead design reviews and create work instructions and inventories.
Implement automation, robotics, vision systems, controls integration, fixtures, gauging, and machine design.
