Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to develop and improve manufacturing processes, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met. You will work cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and NPD Engineering to optimize operations and reduce downtime.

The role emphasizes designing process improvements, supporting new equipment validation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across assigned areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 1 year of Manufacturing Engineering, Project Management, or related experience.
• Experience supporting manufacturing processes (machining, stamping, assembly, coating, automation).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update manufacturing work instructions and process documentation.
• Design and improve processes to increase throughput and reduce waste.
• Conduct time studies to identify bottlenecks and improve cycle time and labor efficiency.
• Support installation, startup, and validation of new equipment and technology.
• Collaborate with Maintenance to improve PM schedules and reduce downtime.
• Lead or support root-cause analysis on machine or process issues.
• Provide daily floor support for troubleshooting and improvements.
• Ensure communication of process changes across shifts and plant personnel.
• Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement projects.
