Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead process improvements in high-mix, low-volume electronics for aerospace and defense programs. You will solve complex manufacturing challenges, drive Lean initiatives, and support NPI/DFM activities with cross-functional teams.

You will mentor junior engineers, develop manufacturing documentation, analyze KPIs, and partner with engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations to optimize performance in a regulated, high-reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering required.
• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Experience with complex electronics, electromechanical, or regulated environments.
• Strong root-cause analysis and Lean manufacturing background.
• Ability to analyze data and make fact-based decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing process improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, yield, throughput, and cost reduction.
• Provide day-to-day manufacturing support and troubleshoot production challenges on complex electronic assemblies.
• Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Support new product introductions (NPI) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) activities.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, process flows, and production procedures.
• Analyze manufacturing data and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to optimize manufacturing performance.
• Participate in nonconformance reviews and corrective action processes.
• Evaluate manufacturing methods, tooling, equipment, and process capabilities.
• Mentor junior engineers and serve as a technical resource across the organization.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
• Must be a US citizen.
• Experience supporting complex electronics, electromechanical, or highly regulated manufacturing environments
• Strong background in root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and Lean manufacturing principles
• Ability to analyze data and make fact-based decisions

Preferred Experience

We are especially interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• RF electronics manufacturing
• Microwave products and assemblies
• High-reliability electronic systems
• Semiconductor manufacturing or related advanced manufacturing environments
• AS9100, ISO 9001, MIL-STD, or other regulated quality systems
