Job summary

Job description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve manufacturing operations through process optimization, equipment implementation, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration. This individual will play a key role in driving productivity, quality, safety, and cost reduction efforts while supporting day-to-day production needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for improving processes and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Analyze production workflows and identify opportunities for continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Support new product introductions, including process development, tooling selection, and production readiness activities.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Design and optimize work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Evaluate equipment performance and partner with maintenance teams to improve reliability and uptime.
  • Manage capital improvement projects, including equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and validation.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to achieve operational objectives.
  • Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and production line balancing activities.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement initiatives to improve throughput, scrap reduction, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Support safety initiatives and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Experience developing manufacturing processes and documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
Preferred
  • Experience with automation, robotics, PLCs, or industrial controls.
  • Knowledge of machining, assembly, welding, fabrication, or process manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other CAD software.
  • Knowledge of OEE, PFMEA, Control Plans, and APQP methodologies.
