Job description

Join our team as a Manufacturing Engineer at Actalent. In this role, you will develop and optimize production processes, onboard new parts and machines, create programs and tooling, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Your responsibilities include developing CAD/CAM structures, assisting in fixture design, and collaborating with quality to enhance inspection processes. The position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in machining and manufacturing engineering, an A.S. Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent, and expertise in lathe, mill, and Swiss machining.

Responsibilities

1. Onboard new parts for first-run production by developing programs, tooling, and setup sheets.
2. Support development and optimization of production processes.
3. Assist in CAD/CAM structure development, fixture and work holding design.
4. Drive continuous improvement and support new machine onboarding and training.
5. Support existing production, modify setup sheets, blueprints, and G.D.&T.
6. Collaborate with quality for inspection plans and testing.
7. Develop preventive maintenance and participate in educational opportunities.
8. Ensure safe operations and support ISO 9001 compliance.
