Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Burnsville, MN


Job ID: #70891


Pay Range: $30-36.50


ENTRY LEVEL - Typically 0 - 3 years of relevant experience


  • Supports design and planning of production floor layout for assembly and materials handling.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Time Studies: Lean line implementation prework, schedule group alignment for non-lean line products, support efficiency deep dives.
  • Spaghetti Diagram: Identify utilization opportunities resulting from excessive travel time.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data by SKU, Op, FPY, scrap, rework loops, and other metrics to improve processes.
  • Hiring Impact: Monitor YoY impact of 40-50 new hires on product processes.
  • Data Collection & Analysis: Enhance ability to analyze lean line implementation results and other production data.
  • Draft PPAP Documentation: Expedite identifying necessary changes and support proactive configuration line stops.
  • Document existing tooling and fixtures; create new tooling as needed for lean lines.
  • Program laser labeling to ensure quality and reduce returns.
  • Standard Work Documentation: Develop manufacturing and business process documentation.
