Job summary

BrainWorks Search is partnering with a leading automotive manufacturer near Detroit to hire experienced Manufacturing Engineers for a hands-on plant-floor role in a high-volume die-casting operation.

You'll provide on-site engineering support, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with maintenance to improve uptime and OEE in a highly automated environment.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of hands-on manufacturing, process, or maintenance engineering experience.
• Die-casting experience strongly preferred; injection molding or extrusion experience will also be considered.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on engineering support on the manufacturing floor
• Partner with Maintenance to troubleshoot equipment and production issues
• Diagnose recurring downtime and drive root cause
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment performance and OEE
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
• Support manufacturing processes within a highly automated production environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $80,000–$110,000 (+) DOE
