Job summary

BrainWorks Search is partnered with a leading automotive manufacturer near Detroit to hire a Controls Engineer. This hands‑on, plant‑floor role focuses on supporting controls and automation in a highly automated manufacturing environment.

You will troubleshoot PLCs, diagnose ladder logic issues, support robotics and automated cells, and collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering to minimize downtime. 3–7+ years of relevant experience and background with Allen-Bradley or Siemens is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of controls, automation, electrical, or industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and ladder-logic experience.
• Experience with Allen‑Bradley and/or Siemens controls preferred.
• Die‑casting experience strongly preferred; injection molding or extrusion environments will also be considered.

• Base salary: $80,000–$110,000, with flexibility based on experience
