Job summary

Trillium Staffing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for an established manufacturer in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. This direct-hire, day-shift role leads engineering projects and drives improvements in machining, fixtures, gauging and assembly on a global basis, with a salary range of $82,000 to $90,000.

The candidate will manage equipment projects from specs to startup, improve processes, lead root-cause analysis, and collaborate cross-functionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is essential.
• Post secondary CET or similar diploma highly desirable.
• 10 years automotive manufacturing experience.
• Project management certification PMP/Prince2 highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage equipment projects from specification and commissioning through startup.
• Drive continuous improvement in machining, fixtures, gauging, and assembly.
• Improve quality, reduce costs and increase manufacturing efficiency.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
• Develop equipment, process, tooling specifications and cost estimates.
• Support CNC equipment, fixture procurement and process development.
• Use simulation software to optimize machining and assembly processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally from concept through production.
• Travel globally as required (25%+).

Job description

Manufacturing Engineer position available at an established manufacturing company in Eaton Rapids, Michigan.

Direct hire opportunity available on day shift. Salary range is $82k to $90k. The manufacturing engineer will lead engineering projects. Will develop, implement and continually improve methods of machining, fixture, gauging and assembly on a global basis

Manufacturing engineer responsibilities:

• Will manage equipment projects from specification and commissioning through startup and production launch.
• Drive continuous improvement in machining, fixtures, gauging, and assembly processes.
• Improve quality, reduce costs, increase manufacturing efficiency.
• Lead root-cause analysis and also corrective actions for any manufacturing issues.
• Develop equipment, process, tooling specifications and cost estimates.
• Support CNC equipment, fixture procurement, as well as manufacturing process development.
• Use simulation software to optimize machining as well as assembly processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally from project concept through full production.
• Travel globally as required (25%+).

Educational and certification background required for the manufacturing engineer position:
