Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in the United States seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support equipment and tooling validation within a casting manufacturing environment. This onsite role is based in Bay City, MI, with occasional supplier-site support.

You will qualify machinery, support tooling changeovers, perform buy-offs, analyze downtime and performance data, and work closely with plant and supplier teams to keep milestones on track.

Qualifications

Job description

The position is based onsite at a casting manufacturing facility in Bay City, MI, with occasional onsite support at supplier locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify equipment and tooling throughout all stages of product and equipment validation.
• Qualify machinery and support tooling changeovers.
• Perform equipment buy-offs and ensure project milestones are met on time.
• Provide onsite support at supplier locations as needed.
• Analyze and interpret downtime and performance data.
• Implement corrective actions based on downtime analysis.
• Work closely with plant and supplier teams to identify and resolve equipment issues.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related experience.
• Experience with equipment validation and machinery qualification.
• Ability to interpret downtime and performance data.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machining and block/prismatic machining processes.
• Manufacturing experience, preferably in casting or automotive environments.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Manufacturing mindset and good communication skills.

• Experience working in casting manufacturing environments.
• Automotive manufacturing experience.
• Hands-on experience with CNC and block/prismatic machining processes.
