Job summary

Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with an automotive manufacturing organization, seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead plant engineering resources and oversee capital equipment, process launches, and continuous improvements across machining and metal- forming operations.

You will analyze performance data, guide cost-efficient manufacturing improvements, manage vendor sourcing, and establish standards and best practices for the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience in machining or metal forming.
• 3+ years engineering management or technical leadership in manufacturing.
• Experience managing capital equipment projects and budgets.
• Experience with CAD/CAM and engineering analysis platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing engineering resources supporting plant production and process improvement initiatives.
• Develop manufacturing processes, equipment requirements, capacity plans, project timing, and capital investment strategies for new and existing programs.
• Manage capital projects through budgeting, equipment selection, vendor sourcing, installation, commissioning, and production launch.
• Analyze process performance data and implement improvements that increase yield, runtime, quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
• Oversee equipment sourcing and evaluate vendor proposals for manufacturing machinery, tooling, and production systems.
• Develop process flows, manufacturing documentation, risk mitigation plans, and launch requirements.
• Provide technical direction for complex equipment, process, and production troubleshooting.
• Establish engineering standards, technical training plans, resource requirements, and process‑development best practices.

Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with an automotive manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineering Manager. This role is responsible for leading plant engineering resources, overseeing capital equipment and process launches, and driving improvements in manufacturing efficiency, quality, yield, and cost. The position supports a hands‑on, heavy industrial manufacturing environment spanning machining and metal‑forming operations.

Job Duties:

• Lead manufacturing engineering resources supporting plant production and process improvement initiatives
• Develop manufacturing processes, equipment requirements, capacity plans, project timing, and capital investment strategies for new and existing programs
• Manage capital projects through budgeting, equipment selection, vendor sourcing, installation, commissioning, and production launch
• Analyze process performance data and implement improvements that increase yield, runtime, quality, safety, and cost efficiency
• Oversee equipment sourcing and evaluate vendor proposals for manufacturing machinery, tooling, and production systems

Skills & Experience

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of technical education, certifications, and relevant experience
• 5+ years of experience within manufacturing, machining, metal forming, forging, or a comparable production environment
• 3+ years of engineering management or technical leadership experience within a manufacturing facility
• Experience managing engineers or other technical manufacturing personnel
• Experience managing capital equipment projects, including budgeting, equipment selection, vendor sourcing, installation, and production launch
• Experience managing capital budgets, project spending, vendor quotes, and cost controls
• Working knowledge of manufacturing process development, equipment utilization, capacity planning, and process‑performance analysis
• Experience with engineering software such as CAD, CAM, manufacturing ERP/MES platforms, or comparable engineering systems
• Experience within automotive, aerospace, heavy industrial, precision machining, medical device, plastics, composites, or other demanding manufacturing environments
• Experience with forging, powdered metal, metallurgy, CNC machining, metal forming, or press operations
• Experience supporting both machining and metal‑forming manufacturing processes
• Experience with manufacturing equipment installations, production line expansions, machine replacements, or facility modernization projects
• Experience with manufacturing launch documentation, process‑flow development, capacity analysis, and equipment utilization planning
• Experience with CAD/CAM and engineering analysis platforms such as CATIA, Mastercam, MATLAB, or comparable software
