Job summary

Our client designs and manufactures premier electrical test equipment and measurement instruments for utilities, manufacturing, telecom, and building services. They seek an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to improve production of complex equipment used in the electrical generation and distribution industry.

This role is a key contributor to the operations management team, focusing on troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and safe, efficient assembly and testing processes.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of electro-mechanical manufacturing experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required.
  • Fluency in English with effective communication to production teams.
  • Experience with surface mount and through-hole assembly is a plus.
  • Familiarity with IPC 610 and ISO 9000 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support and drive troubleshooting for complex component, subassembly, and system issues.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities across quality, cost, safety, and on-time delivery.
  • Drive process standardization and implement performance metrics.
  • Develop plans for electronics processing capital acquisition, including specs and sourcing.
  • Create and revise production work instructions for assembly and testing.
  • Participate in manufacturability design reviews with development engineering.
  • Establish safe work practices and remediate hazardous conditions.
  • Analyze production processes to improve labor efficiency and reduce material cost.
  • Develop training materials for assembly personnel.
  • Provide technical support to quality for corrective actions.

Our client is seeking an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to improve the production of complex electrical test equipment used in the electrical generation and distribution industry. This position is a key contributor to the operations management team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and drive troubleshooting efforts related to complex component, subassembly, and system assembly issues.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities across quality, customer service, cost, safety, on-time delivery, and compliance.
  • Drive process standardization and the implementation of performance metrics.
  • Develop plans for electronics processing capital acquisition, including specifications, sourcing, installation, and qualification.
  • Create, maintain, and revise production work instructions for assembly and testing.
  • Participate in manufacturability design reviews for new products in collaboration with development engineering.
  • Establish safe work practices and support remediation of hazardous conditions.
  • Analyze production processes to improve labor efficiency and reduce material cost.
  • Develop training materials for assembly personnel.
  • Provide technical support to the quality team for corrective actions related to product quality issues.
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • 5–8 years of experience working directly in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interface with assembly personnel.
  • Familiarity with surface mount and through-hole assembly technologies.
  • Experience with IPC 610 and ISO 9000 standards.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems; SAP preferred.
