Job summary

Indra Group USA is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a background in electronics manufacturing to serve as a key interface between engineering, manufacturing and subcontract partners to improve production readiness, efficiency and product quality.

Key responsibilities include technology transfer to subcontractors, coordinating design changes, improving documentation and processes, driving cost reductions, and supporting production cells, fixtures and test equipment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with electronics or electronics manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Technology transfer activities to subcontractor manufacturers for new and existing products.
  • Coordinate with subcontract manufacturers to ensure design changes are communicated and implemented.
  • Improve and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions and production processes.
  • Identify and implement manufacturing process improvements to reduce cost, improve quality and increase throughput.
  • Provide feedback to design engineering on DFMs and product improvements that reduce manufacturing and test time.
  • Document, maintain and improve production test fixtures and equipment.
  • Support setup and optimization of production cells and manufacturing workflows.
  • Assist with troubleshooting production issues and driving corrective actions.

Job description

We are looking for a Electrical Engineer with an electronics/manufacturing background. This individual would serve as a key interface between engineering, manufacturing, and our subcontract manufacturing partners to improve production readiness, efficiency, and product quality.

Key responsibilities would include:

• Performing technology transfer activities to subcontractor manufacturers for new and existing products.

• Coordinating with subcontract manufacturers to ensure design changes are properly communicated and implemented.

• Improving and maintaining manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and production processes.

• Identifying and implementing manufacturing process improvements to reduce cost, improve quality, and increase throughput.

• Providing feedback to the design engineering team on design-for-manufacturability (DFM) opportunities and product improvements that reduce manufacturing and test time.

• Documenting, maintaining, and improving production test fixtures and equipment.

• Supporting the setup and optimization of production cells and manufacturing workflows.

• Assisting with troubleshooting production issues and driving corrective actions when needed.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with electronics or electronics manufacturing.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting electronics manufacturing, PCB assemblies, test fixtures, production testing, or contract manufacturers.
  • Coursework or experience related to DFM (Design for Manufacturability), Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process improvement.
